Built through more than food.
The values behind Sakoon — and the journey of the founder who shaped them.
Saim Amir is the founder of Sakoon Bakery. His background crosses education, engineering, law, hospitality, operational leadership and public-facing work. Sakoon brings those different experiences together through a brand built around discipline, creativity, community and perseverance.
Five principles behind the brand.
Discipline
Sakoon is built through consistency, preparation and a refusal to rely on hype alone.
Service
Every product and customer interaction should feel generous, respectful and considered.
Community
The brand began through direct contact with people — at stalls, events and local spaces — and those roots remain important.
Learning
Every stage of the founder's education and professional journey contributes to how Sakoon develops products, solves problems and responds to customers.
Perseverance
The journey has included uncertainty, setbacks and periods when progress was slower than expected. Sakoon represents the decision to continue building with patience.

Professional experience
Before building Sakoon, Saim worked across hospitality, restaurant operations, legal administration, public safety and compliance-led environments. These roles developed the discipline, judgement, customer awareness and resilience now applied to the brand.
Patience, responsibility, perseverance.
The route to Sakoon was not straightforward. Alongside education and employment, Saim experienced periods of uncertainty, personal pressure and difficult changes in direction. Those experiences shaped a deeper respect for patience, responsibility and the importance of building something meaningful.
Rather than allowing those periods to define the outcome, he continued studying, working and developing ideas. Sakoon became a way to turn that resilience into a practical business rooted in food, creativity and community.
Family remains an important source of motivation. The sacrifices made by his mother and the desire to create a more secure future helped give the Sakoon journey a deeper sense of responsibility.
Saim also spent time studying within Islamic educational environments, strengthening the values of reflection, responsibility, service and intention that influence the meaning behind Sakoon.
Rooted in community.
The brand began through direct contact with people — at stalls, events and local spaces. That closeness still shapes how Sakoon builds.
Discipline in, craft out.
Discipline from safety-led work, judgement from legal administration, warmth from hospitality and resilience from a non-linear journey all feed directly into how Sakoon is built: carefully, consistently and close to its community. The brand treats food as craft, service as intention, and growth as something earned rather than rushed.
Experience that shaped the brand
The business Sakoon wants to become.
The ambition is for Sakoon to become a recognised halal viral-food brand — one that keeps the care and community of its grassroots beginnings while growing into a business with lasting products, a strong identity and room to expand with the right partners.
